Dog Rescue Request for Discount
The first 3 months with a newly adopted dog is crucial for the dogs and their new families. To encourage a healthy adjustment for the new dog, to help families set realistic expectations, to coach families through basic obedience training, and to develop plans to modify, reduce, or extinguish undesired behaviors, this discount program is available.
For eligible rescues and new owners, a 20% discount for all services only for the first 3 months after the new adoption/placement of a rescue dog is available when a charitable rescue makes a referral.
The rescue group must request an application by following instructions below. Be prepared to provide a copy of adoption contract to confirm adoption date. The aim of this program is to assist with the crucial initial 3 month period in order to help owners create healthy structure and behavior patterns needed to help their dogs adjust from the beginning. Dogs that have been rehearsing undesired or unhealthy pattens of behavior for many months before training is requested are not eligible for this discounted program. This program is created to encourage new owners to reach out for help as soon as possible after adoption before problems develop.
Full-priced training, which is currently much more affordable than the industry standard, is alway an option for those who cannot meet or choose to not meet the criteria necessary to access this discounted program.

What to expect next:
1. The rescue staff member making this request will receive a short Rescue Discount Request Form by email to complete and return.
2. For request that have been approved, New Client Intake Forms will be sent directly to the new dog owner or foster for completion. These intake forms must be completed by new client/owner (whoever is living with and responsible for training the dog), not by rescue organization.
3. Once the New Client Intake Forms have been received and reviewed, an appointment via ZOOM will be scheduled with new owner or foster. Rescue group staff is welcomed to join if desired. There may be a significant wait list for wait for appointments. There are no "emergency appointment available." Waiting for an appointment does not extend discount period.
Important disclosures:
1. Misrepresentation of the date of adoption to access discounted coaching/training will result in termination of coaching/training as well as termination of any future offers of discounted training for any additionally dogs placed from the rescue organization making the misrepresentation.
2. Regardless of who is paying for training/coaching, the goals of training will be determined by the dog owner’s needs and ability as well as the limitation of the dog as determined by the collaborative work done by Creating Momentum Canine Coaching and the new adopter/foster.
3. All work is done via ZOOM. No in-person coaching/training is offered at this time.
4. Requests for Rescue Discounts do not guarantee access to services. New dog owner/foster must want coaching assistance. New dog owner/foster must have capacity to effectively use Zoom, email, and video. New dog owner/foster must feel comfortable with being coached through Zoom. Issues must be within the scope of expertise offer by Creating Momentum Canine Coaching.
